Liz Gass

Organization

City of Rochester, MN

Current Position and how long

Digital Communications Coordinator, 4 years

Why do you want to be a Minnesota Association of Government Communicators board member?

I continue to be fascinated by the power of collaboration within Government Communications. With so many talented and passionate people working toward similar goals of informing, supporting and serving their communities, this group has the potential to magnify the work each of us does every day exponentially. To date, I've walked away from every MAGC experience inspired and in awe of the people doing this work, and I would love to be a part of what makes that magic happen.

What skills, knowledge or expertise do you bring to the board?

Aside from my skills as a Digital Communications Coordinator (digital accessibility, website management and design, social media management, graphic design, videography, photography, etc.), I bring expertise in project management and strategic planning that I believe could benefit the MAGC board in its current and future endeavors.

What else would you like us to know about you as a candidate for the MAGC board?

As a current resident of Rochester and someone who was born and raised in Northern Minnesota, I bring the perspective of greater Minnesota to the MAGC board. This lived experience will help ensure MAGC's work is inclusive and relevant for all its members and foster greater opportunities for collaboration within the organization.
