Learn how to craft messages that meet the needs of your readers, then put that knowledge to the test as we evaluate real-world examples to see what works and what doesn’t.

Brian Lieb developed Hennepin County's plain language program, one of the first and most effective in the country. He also maintains the county's writing style guide and has led more than 100 training sessions with dozens of organizations. His classes and presentations are fast-paced and fun, and he can work with writers at any skill level.

We’re going to evaluate real-life examples to see how well they meet plain language standards. If you have an example you’d like evaluated – either something you’ve created or an atrocity you’ve stumbled across – please forward so we can include it. And don’t worry, we’ll be gentle.

The Zoom link will be included in your event registration confirmation email.
